Why the title is a little bit upset? Well, In this June, the company I worked for involved in layoffs great storm. So I just cannot help feeling lonely now. The only friend I made in office was from Guangdong. We talked in Cantonese so I feel comfortable. Kind word always made me feel good. We ate together, shared the food, talked some gossip. It seems like that was my only way to let my hair down in the depressed office. But she quited the job two weeks ago. And loads of colleagues disappeared suddenly at the same time. What's more, I am the only survivor in our department. Someone's gonna say, it means you are a great staff. But I want to deny that. Because my supervisor Amy is pregnant and asked for leave like a month, and the other colleague Jimmy quited the job. I don't want to judge any one or any enterprises. But what I think is there is absolutely the reason from the company but I do not know what is that. I hope I could handle the department even just a temporary situation. Cheer up! Salty!

It's been a month again. I really want to share some amusing thing with you guys, but I can't. My career remains stagnant. There is no more advancement, no more fun and no more work experiment to learn. Now I am preparing the study abroad thing. To study abroad is my greatest desire. It could be hard to do, but I prefer study than work. Haha. I hope things will go well on June. Have a nice holiday, Chinese people!

The Dragon Boat Festival which happens on Lunar May 5th is in memory of QuYuan, an ancient poet. Since the Lunar in China change every year, so this year, the Dragon Boat Festival is June 2nd. Actually the favourite part for me is the traditional food of Dragon Boat Festival. As the following picture, the traditional food is named of ZongZi (粽子) which is a pyramid-shaped dumpling made of glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. Some of people do not like it because it is greasy. In general, the zongzi is made of glutinous rice, fat, the yolk of salty eggs and so on. So if you ate it up, you will feel very full for a whole day. But my boyfriend's mother is a skilled and kid person. She likes to make the zongzi with her own hand. Loads of people did not know how to make it especially the youth, so it seems very rara skill. I receive her zongzi every year. And it tastes so good!

Hey. I am the only child in my family. That is the reason why my parents always take my growth very seriously. Honestly China is so different from Western contries. For example, China is implementing a family planning policy, and the westerner never thought of that was a necessity. That is related to the different condition of different contries. China is a contry which with a large population. So the government need to control the increase of population. Actually, there are loads of family just have one child. So the kid seems extremely precious. So do I. My dad likes to make the decisions for me since I was a kid. No matter it was little things or very important. Some people says, the students in China did not have any independent thinking because we always do multiple-choice test instead of questions & answers. It always happened in school and the family. On my part, my dad have decided which school I should go, which major I should choose. Even the friends, yes, he wanted me to make friends who are very successful and incredible. He did not want me to make the ordinary people. Because he thought I cannot learn any thing from them. But today he tells me that he respect the thought on my mind. I want to study abroad on Sep this year. He thinks I have grown up and I am an adult. I am so appreciate this decision I just made. And thanks for my dad and his support. Love you father!

I have no idea how to started an English eassay althought my major was English in the college. But at least I tried. Today I want to talk about a book I am reading now. I guess not many Chinese people are familiar with Pai Hsien-yung. Due to some political reasons, Chinese in mainland were hard to know the culture like literature, movies and TV programs of Taiwan before. However, I am so into the writing by Taiwanese authors especially Mr.Pai Hsien-yeng. The first article I read is in commemoration of his dead lover Mr.Wang GuoXiang. They are homosexuals. In China, homosexuals are minority and difficult to get respect and identity from most of Chinese. So can you imagine how brave he was? Actually, the article described their relationship in more obscure way. The autor memorised the trees they planted in the yard. Sadly, the trees were dead with Mr.Wang GuoXiang's illness. Pai Hsien-yeng was staied with his lover in the rest of his life. I am really touched by their affections. Sometimes I think it is more ture than heterosexuality. p.s. I know my article is bad, but I will try harder!!
