I've been pondering over my name and fame that why I am not being such a popular personality since 15 years I've been soaring my voice around the surround. I have written a lot of news stories about social and unsocial issues and raised my voice throughout radio media. 15 years is not a few day to be counted. I suppose some people may know me but that might be just for a while. I have seen some journalists who have been joining the battlefield at the same time, they have been noticed by many but why not me?
Honesty is the best policy, I have followed the slogan during my career, till now its being my sticking agenda. wherever you go, honesty makes you a noticeable at that time but not for long lasting. may be one day that will be evaluated by the history. In the materialistic world you cannot judged by with your inner honesty. must be a showoff. I have realized it but its very unusual to me to get rid of it.
Finally, I have significantly felt that if you follow immoral way, you could be a star in this crowd. but at last you will be defamed. you could have a naked walk if you are a attention seeker, for a while, you might be targeted by the public. but remember that it would just be a temporary ridicule.
At least, misdeed may lead a person to the progress, at least many desirable things may be obtained, at least you could be victorious over your rivals too but finally you have to face totally destruction.
Being your honest self, you will attract the people who appreciate you for what you are. Sometimes the issue you talk/write about, and the way you write about will resonate with a lot of people. The numbers will vary. But you need to be clear what is your more important goal - to be wealthy and famous quickly talking and writing or develop a following who appreciate your honesty... Don't feel too disheartened if your expectations from your work do not work out in material terms, so long as you keep growing your audience.
Interesting story! I had spent few years on listening to English broadcasting in free time. I noticed that the voices from different countries had their own local accent. Once a time I got the signal from Finland that female announcer‘s sound was so sweet that as if she were fairy!
About 5 months ago Nepali vice president was in Beijing. there was reception by Nepali Embassy in China. I requested him for an interview. i introduced myself, 'Sir, I am from a Radio and i am a radio journalist', then suddenly he replied, 'I can identify your voice that sounds like a News reader.'
because of repeated voice exercise, it might be familiar to listeners. But i feel too awkward while listening own recorded voice in Media.
I am one of the ambitious radio journalists and i have been unceasingly casting my voice through FM radios in Kathmandu. right now, in Beijing too, but i suppose my financial and fame scale also too low. may be its my problem to be not deviated from the path of honesty.
There is a saying in Nepali-
''If you speak frequently, your flour is to be sold, if not nobody cares your fragrant rice too.''
As an announcer you must have sweet voice which sounds like coming from the edge of the heaven that can move the bottom of everyone‘s heart! You act as an invisible hero! Your work is admirable!
Being honest I think is very important as you do. But I am 100% sure the media in the USA and other countries are not honest unless it makes the Country look good.
