Turning Trash into Treasure
I always that someone’s trash is somebody else’s treasure. Turning trash to treasure is true recycling or even better upcycling which describes a process of converting waste or unwanted materials into new materials or products of a better quality or a higher environmental value.
If we manage to look beyond the current purpose of a product or thing and see its next lives hidden inside, we turn trash to treasure. The beauty about this is that once you started it you won’t be able to stop. You see it happening all around you. Turing trash to treasure you will use less resource, you will create less waste, you will live a more sustainable life and it feels good.
I want to show my handmade and the process of it with u, I hope u can try to do some handiworks by yourself in your holidays. And I 'm sure once u do it, u will fall in love with it.

Main Material:
Old magazines,cardboard
Main Tools:
Scissors,all-purpose adhesive.

First step:

Ready for the required items.

Old magazines,cardboard,scissors,all-purpose adhesive

Second step:

Tearing off the old magazines paper and roll them up.

P.S: The long stick paper should have a thin head,so it's easy to connect later.

Third step:

Cut two cardboards which have the same shape and the same size. They can be round or may be rectangular.

Shape and size are according to personal preferences.

I think it's more easy to make a circular one

Fourth step:

Put the paper sticks no the cardboard in equal parts, and glued them.

Then put another piece of cardboard on it, and glued them together.

Fifth step:

Put a hard object on the cardboard, so it's easy to etermine the shape of it.

Put up one as a pillar close to the middle reference.

Around one direction put a piece of paper sticks around the other until it is finished.

Close to the middle reference to continue the production.

Sixth step:

The middle reference will be taken out after the ideal height is reached.

Final step:

Cut off the excess and do some simple decorations on it.

Other people's final work show

Compared with other's, my final work looked a little simple and crude, but I really tried my best to finish it. And in the winter holiday, I would like to do some other handcraft, because the materials what needed are so common and we can find them easily in our daily life.

Besides, I want to share other ways of using old magazines and books with u.

They are so beautiful and useful, aren't they? So ,why not make one handcraft by yourself?

At last, I'd like to share share some handmade website with you.You can find a lot of interesting handcrafts on these websites. Even u can get to know how to make 辣条.

You too can turn your own trash to treasure by creative recycling and start using, wearing, enjoying your old and unwanted things, again and again!

Creative Recycling wants to inspire you to become active, do your bit and inspire others to turn Trash to Treasure.

Very creative! My wife always complains because I never throw anything away. I always think I might use it for something else later. But I am not creative like you.
