Eros,thy enchantment is to me,
Like the scarlet apple
In the hand of the evil.
One tiny bite on the tempting desire,
The princess would drop asleep in pity.
In solitary days long yearn for company,
Thy shiny hair,thy dazzling smile,
Thy loving whispers have brought me home,
To the glamorous heaven,
And the fancy wonderland.
Lo!with your pure-white flattering wings,
How glaring I see you stand,
The Cupid's arrow within thy hand.
Ah,shoot me straight in the heart,
I will follow you till I pass.
P.S.This is the first English poem I've ever written, and I got the inspiration after reading Edgar Allan Poe's To Hellen, which is an epic in American Literature.Though I tried so hard to make each line rhyme, just as our talented writer Poe did in his masterpiece,I still failed(As you can see here, none of the stanzas rhymes).I'm truly sorry for my poor poem writing skill.Thank you all for reading it.
