Pilot was locked out of cockpit
2015-03-26
Latest news is there is a possibility that the crash of germanwing airbus plane is a deliberate act of someone. The audio recording shows that the captain was locked out of cockpit and he was trying to smash the door down before the plane went down precipitously. The co-pilot was probably controlling the plane and the co-pilot has 630 hours flying time.

these days more and more people get disillusioned easily. some professions like airline pilot could cause massive demage easily if some of them become deranged, notwithstanding the possible links with all kinds of extemist organizations. before they fly an airplane, psychiatrists should do some evaluation work on these guys to see if they are suitable to sit inside cockpit.

This could lead for calls for passenger jets of this size to have three pilots so that when one has to relieve themselves there are always two in the cockpit. There is normally a jump seat in the cockpit for a third crew member. Although probably not the cause this time, there is always the danger that a pilot has a stroke/heart attack when the other pilot is outside the cabin. Alternatively a senior male flight steward should go into the cockpit temporarily while a pilot is out.
