This evening, I went to the supermarket. When I came from the exit after shopping, I found an old man was sitting on the stairs at the gate. It appeared that he wanted to get up, but he couldn't. I hesitated for a second thinking if I lift him up. If I did it, what would the old man do? Would he think that I had pushed him down? Looking at the old man I didn't think about more, I held his arm and let him stand up. But he was so heavy that I couldn't support him, so I called another woman to help him with me. At last, he stood up, then I picked up his walking stick and his bag on the ground and handed over to him. I heard him saying something but I couldn't hear his words clearly for he must have illnesses. I asked him if he could walk by himself and told him that he must be more careful. Being sure he was OK, I left.

I often heard of the events that old people wronged the innocent people after helping them, but it is proved that not all the old are like that. So when seeing such situations, do our best to help them, for respecting the old is our Chinese traditional virtue, and we all have the day when we will get old ,
