it's been 5years since joined work

i was graduated in2009 and it's been five years up to now,huh? though, i have been trying my best to work hard and made some progress in work, i am still on the starting line while others who joined work after me are flying and got higher position. i feel unfair and sometimes unhappy about this, but sometimes i think i should adapt to this kind of environment, cuz people might know how is it. Besides, i wont be hungry and dying even if i would still be on the atarting line. On the contrary, what i should care about is how to makeself happy without any support from heads.

Oh, I see. I hear that many government jobs are very sought after and there is much competition and more job security. So you have compensations!
i am working in governmental department, not in company. so it has much difference between company and government work system
They should consider moving you off the starting line! Does the company have internal training and a staff development plan? Do you have an annual review where your boss discusses your prospects!
yes, being happy is very important ,i notice that. so i dont care about work position, though i still need to work as sual. it is same work all 5 years though i dont feel boring of my work. but work promotion matters salary and life to some extent. it's been 5years and am still on the starting line while those who joined work after me got promoted. most important is i made progress in work and did what they ordered me. And now i dont care about those things though i still have to stay at the starting line in the future even for 5 or 10 years.
