On the internet, there are pros and cons about films and TV series adaptations of web fictions. I figure out people who are in favor of the adaptations are enchanted by vivid scene, good-looking actors or actresses and extraordinary plot. And those who disagree with the film and TV series adaptations may expect too much to accept them. Firstly, it’s impossible that the films and TV series are fully faithful to the original work for the audience to appreciate. Novels override the films and TV series in arousing readers’ imagination. The loyal fans of original novels can build up an image of character in mind with a mixture of personal imagination and writer’s description. They are unsatisfied with the adaptation naturally. But the controversy disappeared when Nirvana in Fire came out. Everyone cannot express their likeness to it enough because it truly demonstrates the spirit of the original novel and breathe new life into the original novel in return. What is the art of act? What is beauty of brilliance? What is the charm of character? I got the answers from Nirvana in Fire. Worrying about the source of script and more… I recognize it’s unusual that we have seen utmost adaptations and variety shows which imitated foreign countries in the whole year. Someone guesses entertainment circle fall short of scripts and new ideas now. If so, it’s so terrible and sad to acknowledge that Chinese are confronted with the risk of losing originality and creativity in play! I call for young Chinese thinking ontheir own more.

But now, I have obligatory to explain knowledge whatever my students want to perceive. Maybe they will have more ideas about what I teach, I have to foresee and prepare more extra as well as relevant information. For instance, you may think teaching vocabularies is easier than teaching reading, listening, writing, etc. I felt so before I took a complete and realistic course at the college. Actually, a successful, welcoming and responsible teacher truly has many things to do. From the perspective of fundamental English major knowledge, he chooses to involve the content as follow: pronunciation, part of speech, degree, context, example sentence, affix, source of words, synonym and polysemy and even helpful remember strategies. No matter how much you choose to demonstrate in class, the prerequisite is you must be erudite, you must get hang of all. It reminds me of Hemingway’s iceberg theory. I want to say that a Chinese English teacher really like an iceberg---must keep continuous learning in the whole life so that the knowledge storage could fulfill the need of student and adapt to development. The part of talent he shows to us is so fiddle than the part hidden. Teaching makes me realize the gap between English teaching approach and class situation. Before I taught in the class formally, I had an intensive learning on the textbook and care about some details in it. Downloading the latest video connected with topic, designing a teach plan, collecting some short useful English inquisition, imagining the possible process of class. I try my best to teach my first course in my life. I decided to apply The Interactive-Compensatory Approach into my class, I planned to introduce background of text as well as guide them look through new words and phrases in list firstly. And secondly, I would lead them to predict what the text tells from the title and other clues occurred in the text. However, I failed applying this approach in my class. Because in class, I found I overestimated their elementary knowledge storage and underestimated their long-term negative attitude to English learning. My leading-in part and warming-up activity earned an active atmosphere in former class. But when we came to the text, the students become negative to participate. Strike a balance between positive atmosphere and discipline Sometimes my college students would get extremely exhilarated by activities in my class. At this time, the atmosphere would more active than I expected. They talked, laughed, touched each other, I couldn’t let it goes on for a long time. So I will show serious, do some gestures and say “calm down” meanwhile. I become the focus of the class As a teacher, you will find English speaking intonation, attitude, wearing style, way of teach, competence and anything else are exaggerated when you stand in front of class. Student will observe and appraise you in mind or after class. I still need practice in order to make me behave like a teacher rather than student.
