Now, I feel like I am in a dilemma. It is so cold there in winter and I genuinely hope I can go to bed as soon as possible. But, I still have to do so much homework until midnight. In fact, these work are not necessary to finish, whereas you want to get a high grades and you must work hard. So, I chose to stay up almost every day. And when I feel bad, I will give myself a short break. Recently, I am preparing an opera. It really took much time to practice it. Because I take part in a chorus and I need to sing a song twice a week，too. But I think I am always full of energy. There are so many fantastic things in the world that are worthy to fight for. I want to live a happy life which I usually dreamed of. that's why I want to continue to work at midnight.

It is the busiest week I have ever met, so many activities and so much homework which make me really annoyed. Sometimes, I want to take the time off and sleep until midday instead of getting up at six o’clock, although I know it’s just a dream. On my notebook, this week I need to do so many things that I even don’t have time to reading. Firstly, I must finish my listening task every day. Then, the speech competition is coming and I need much time to prepare it. Besides, our English teacher is going to take a dictation, but for me some vocabularies are not remembered right now. Even I am busy with a lot of things, this afternoon, I went to the classroom to join the English corner. In the English corner, it can give me a chance to talk with the foreign teachers to practice my oral English. So, after finishing this informal essay, I will do my homework. Good night!

The one advantage that I think is useful and interesting in the college is you can take part in many activities. These will make your college life colorful, but, on the other hand, they may become a problem which is about how you select the activities. I received a message which told me there would be a competition called “super speech” just now. As a matter of fact, it is an excellent chance for me to practice my oral English. But sometimes, I may be stuck in a difficult position about whether I should sign in the match or not. I really want to join the match but I may think of what I should do if I failed this match. For me, I don’t want to lose face and if I can’t answer the question in the competition, I will feel embarrassed. So, I am confused now.

I am a freshman in the college and I think my English is poor, so I use this blog to practice or improve my English. Maybe it will have some mistakes, but I just need to have a try. I major in the business English which courses I think are so difficult and boring. Everyone around me just say “you have to keep on it and you will find it interesting and easy”, and I just say “it’s OK, I will work harder”. To tell the truth, it is not so easy to do that. At first, I thought the college is like a heaven that you can do many things you are fond of. But after two months learning, I realize that the college life is more stressful than that in senior high school. Everything you need to do by yourself, it’s a painful process but always develops your life skills. I’m not try to complain about that because complain is useless. What I should do is just study hard and take good care of myself. Good night!
