Norway’s ruling politicians refuse to meet with the Dalai Lama when he visits Oslo this month to avoid angering China. I think it's the right thing to do.  In this case, Norway can ease the tensions with China that have festered since Norway’s Nobel committee awarded jailed Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo the Peace Prize in 2010.

However, some biased press are calling them a coward for "bowing to China's bullying", saying things like "shame on Norway".

What's the point in making oneself an enermy with China?

I would call them cowards as well.

I would call China the biggest coward of them all for even thinking that other countries should not talk to the DL or face china throwing a temper-tantrum like a little girl.

This only makes china look bad, not good.

If seeing the DL makes one an enemy of china....

What does this say about china?

All I can picture is an immature child throwing tantrums.  If you talk with so and so you can't be my friend....that is school children stuff.

China couldn't look worse.

Norway is small enough to be intimated

I've made my living, Mr. Thompson, in large part as a gambler. Some days I make twenty bets, some days I make none. There are weeks, sometimes months, in fact, when I don't make any bet at all because ...

Why don't they ever show his big floppy shoes in the photos?
I've never seen him pull 68 sewn together handkerchiefs out of his shirt pocket either.
If there's one thing he could do, it's be a good clown.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?
