Good lessons !

I hope other parents from mainland should learn this lesson and do not take everythings for granted.  There are many children in our area and they pee everywhere even to the water pool..,One time I tried to stop the grandmother and she got upset with me.

I said you can take ur child to anywhere even to the grass or bushes, why then let him pee in the pool?

For those stupid parents or grandparents we should not let them go easily when such things happend in the public.

If you want privacy, try peeing in an alleyway, not on one of the busiest streets on the planet.
...

NOTE: Not one here who had written comments advocated the rights of "parents of the child" in what they were doing on the street of any place that you must be well aware of in this argument.

The curse lies in the way young idiots took advantage of the situation for political stunt or a mockery of their own liking while disregarding the subtle respect needing to heal/correct many wrong-doings and misconceptions by whoever on Earth.  In real life scenarios, any decent and educated guy could walk up to the parents asking them to move on to do the job elsewhere or offer to negotiate a "jump in queue" for the toilet since it was the need or nature call of the child. Did onlookers and those young idiots there do the right thing?  Big bloody nope! But instead politicizing the scenario is such a bad taste of a Chinese blooded kind for whose benefits?

By the laws of Hong Kong, Mainland and all developed nations, those young idiots can be sued many times over for their silly act by taking photos without permission and/or authority of a defenseless child’s private organ in the public, openly.  Putting up such photos on websites without permission for public viewing also carry very heavy punishments!  YOU should know too well that it is NOT a fun place here!

Did the situation gave any right for those idiots to take advantage of the situation?

What gives parents like these the right to use the street as a public toilet?  Is there a sense of entitlement to  pee wherever and whenever they feel the urge without consideration of others? Would you still come to their defense if this mother allows her child to poop by your front door because they couldn't find a toilet?   One shudders to think if this conduct is also common in other foreign destinations.   It's hardly the way to instill positive images of Chinese around the world.
