I agree. U.S. soldiers are there to kill people for choosing something other than western style
"democracy and capitalism" while Chinese soldiers are to protect people who choose communism,
socialism, or small scale private enterprise.
Over a million dead Vietnamese would attest to that if they could.
Who knows how many arabs were killed while the U.S. was busy protecting "its" oil supply in the Mideast.

Can't term US armies as disorganized yet. That'll be underestimating a competitor and for all competitors strong or weak, equal respect must be accorded. If at all they are in disarray, Japan would have had abandoned US and Australia would have not aligned more with US.

Appearance can be deceiving and yet reading too much can be confusing. Culture plays a part too in appearance but culture alone does not determine ability and resolve. The psychology is critical.
