For most of Chinese, the ongoing Spring Festival is the most important holiday for them. People no matter where they are would head back home as a social phenomenon. This year, due to the job arrangement, I have to stay on duty and could not reach home. My mom keep calling to ask if it's ok for me to spend the holiday outside. It's a little bit uncomfortable when you are not with your parents during the Spring Festival, especially when you see or feel the circumstance of reunion and happiness.

Anyway, we, as migrant people from countryside to city, will have to bear those pains if we want to do something for our family. Just like those parents have to leave their kids behind and seeking jobs in big cities.

It's not a personal issue, but a social problem. No one could change the trend but we could improve it as some are doing now. Such as helping those left-behind children come to cities to reunite with their parents and spend the holidays together.

It's a good target for me to bring my parents into where I work and spend the next Spring Festival together.

No family reunion for the Shengnu in this holidays
Denial, according the psychoanalysts, is one of the most primary mechanisms of defense. It consists in the attitude of denying or minimizing obvious facts of reality with which the individual can´t  cope or whose irresponsibility is unable to meet.

And I agree.
