I love the firecrakers in this special time which made me feel very different.

Keep it going like that, as it is chinese characteristic.

I'm against fireworks and firecrackers (except in a controlled and sanctioned display) for several reasons but, let's be honest, cars pollute much more than fireworks...

I'm against fireworks and firecrackers because they are dangerous, noisy and do not respect other people's privacy or right to sleep after 6AM (when they start to light firecrackers). They also make the roads very dirty.

One thing I like with fireworks and firecrackers though is that every year hundreds of stupid people die because of them, it's evolution to its finest !
Spreading magic around the world since 2007.

Fireworks are banned in Australia, unless you have a licence.

The sulfuric toxins created by a few packages of firecrackers per person isn't so little when multiplied by a million individuals.   Small pleasures of the poor become deadly, as we can see now with the frightening levels of pollution engulfing wide areas of China.  On the flip side, it could be seen as a form of population die-off measure for the poor, while the rich and corrupt are breathing safely in their new homes in Canada or US.

Then don't complain about  China's poisonous air quality  since you're encouraging the continuation of a harmful traditional.

Back to 20 years ago, China do have good air even with the firecrakers.

It is the heavy industry and those only money grabbers who play the major part in the polution. Don't you think so?

Every individual has a part in pollution.
Even fireworks manufacturers did this for money.
Thankfully, more and more Chinese are finally realizing the effects of fireworks on environmental deterioration and are in favor of forsaking them.
