Harry Potter (Liu Xiaoming) proved more than a match for Voldemort's envoy to Britain, in a debate between the two ambassadors on BBC.

In fact, their presence in the same program, at the same time, and the same place proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is an official dispute between China and Japan over the soveriegnty of Diaoyudao/Senkaku.

Voldemort's "Killing Curse" not only had no effect on Harry Potter, it boomeranged on him with twice the punch.  Now it can be said that there is an official government-to-government dispute over the sovereignty status of Diaoyudao/Senkaku.  Otherwise, why was the Japanese Ambassador (who represents Japan) there, in a debate with the Chinese Ambassador?  Aaarrrgh!

Stan, you're holding a gun to God's head. I can't think of a metaphor that's better than this.

China is letting the world know diplomatically and in no uncertain terms that Japan's revanchist militarism and physical aggression against China will not be tolerated.  If Japan shoots down one single plane or sinks one single Chinese ship in Diaoyudao, the war front shifts instantly to all of Japan, centered on Tokyo.  There will be no opportunity for any diplomacy at that time, until the outcome is crystal clear.
