A notice from the China's media regulator says:
news anchors should avoid using Chinese dialects or expressions that are region-specific and Internet slang words and phrases, unless the programs have specific requirements.

How do you think of these regulation? No dialect, all mandarin, boring? No Internet slangs, out-of-fasion. What's your opinion over this oldie question?

I voted 3 although your options don't cover all the angles. Depends on which is the target audience of the program, of course.

There should be national channels in Mandarin and local channels in Mandarin and/or local dialect.
