no wonder....

Don't be a nasty piece of work, or I will get very personal with you. OK
Stan, you're holding a gun to God's head. I can't think of a metaphor that's better than this.

I go home everyday. MY home. How dependant must people be that when they are fully grown they still call their parents' home their homes ?

Now if the questions is how long since you've been back to your hometown, I spent 2 days there back in 2009.
Spreading magic around the world since 2007.

My sister moved to Los Angeles and started a family there. Our family is from Chicago, the rest of us are still here.

I only see her every other year or so, it makes me sad. I miss her and her family. But she doesn't miss us as much I think, as she likes the weather so well there.

One time I traveled to Europe for a month to visit with my wife's family in Poland and to go to Austria for a couple weeks. Great trip, but I was glad to be home.

Chinese people who leave their families for work... Sometimes, I can understand that. But then to leave one's parents alone in a far-off land? That, I don't understand. If it were me, I would try to get them to sell their place in the far-off land and move close to me.

I thought of moving to California to be near my sister, but I also immediately thought of how to convince my mom and brother to come soon afterwards.

I have cousins, aunts, and uncles in the south, and I feel very drifted from them. I would like to be closer, but it is hard. I only see them every couple years.

Some people move to big cities and leave their kids at home with grandparents... TERRIBLE. Just for more money? They've sold their kids' childhood.
