Recently, some teachers in a high school in Henan Province smashed dozens of cell-phones in front of students and parents after students violated an agreement that mobile devices were not to be permitted on campus during the exam period.
Is it justified?

That teacher has a tremendous authoritarianism in his veins.

He must retain the phones until the end of the exam and to call their parents to impose a punishment but not to break it.
Denial, according the psychoanalysts, is one of the most primary mechanisms of defense. It consists in the attitude of denying or minimizing obvious facts of reality with which the individual can´t  cope or whose irresponsibility is unable to meet.

And I agree.
