You describe capitalism as disguised imperialism and subsequently make judgments on behalf of all ...
I did not intend to describe all capitalism as disguised imperialism, but imperaliasm has been disguised as capitalism or democracy by western powers. As of today, the biggest capitalist economy is more than bankrupt financially, it has failed in honest capitalism. You might find more honest capitalism in former socialist countries, while the 'democratic' US uses huge public money (on an unbelievable scale) to prop up crooked financial institutions - banks, that were the bed-rock of capitalism! This qualifies as socialism and not honest socialism at that.
As for moral outrage at violence or subjecting citizens to repressive methods or treating them unequally, it is bad no matter who does it, but i want a clear statement from you if you believe that it is morally better to subject 'foreigners' to it than 'fellow citizens'. make a statement one way or another if want to take a stand and thereby support your statement that capitalism has a moral high ground, historically over socialism. personally, i would rather any country, including my own limits it atrocities to within one's own borders, it is morally superior to suppress one's own country to suppressing and looting innocent people who are helpless in far-away lands. This is relative moralism, but I will take a stand. You try it. You brought up the issue.
Btw, violence and repression does not have to be a precursor to any social change if all people involved were honest, non-violent and worked it out reasonably. it so happens among humans that we dont have such utopia, so the fact is that ALL social changes to and from 'democracy' or socialism seems to be preceded by violence and repression, and often it takes violence and repression to sustain a system too! Capitalism based on arm exports is a glaring example. Just read elementary history of anywhere.
As for who does more honest capitalism AND socialism better today, take a look around the world and you can spot them - I would vote for Switzerland, Singapore at the top. Who would you vote for?
