Australia and the USSA hat OTH radar back in the 70s

The Australian OTH radar system known as Jindalee system didn't go in to trial until 1997... OTH Radar was developed in the early 60s by both the Russians and Americans. The Russians started development in the late 1940s and had an operational system by the 60s but not a fully deployed system until 1971.  The Americans started in the late 50s early 60s and had their first fully operational system deployed in 1976.

A few other bits of misinformation.

Photocopiers (and the process) was invented by Chester Carlson (USA) in 1938. This invention gave rise to the Xerox copier. Australia has played no part in it's invention or development.

WiFi - Purely a US invention, though the father of WiFi was born in Surabaya Indonesia and now is an academic at Delft University in Holland. His name is Vic Hayes

The Internet. Not quite true. Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web, which is just one component of many that create The Internet.

Some of China's inventions in the modern era.

Turning Urine Samples into Brain Cells.

Artemisinin - The anti malarial drug. One of the most important inventions in medical history.

n 1963, Chinese embryologist Tong Dizhou produced the world's first cloned fish by inserting the DNA from a cell of a male carp into an egg from a female carp. He published the findings in a Chinese science journal. This occurred eleven years after the first alleged cloning of an animal, tadpoles in 1952, and 34 years before the cloning of Dolly the Sheep in 1996

In 1965, Chinese scientists synthesized bovine insulin, with the same crystalline form and biological activities as natural insulin. The project began in 1958, and is considered one of the first proteins ever synthesized in vitro

Maglev (Magnetic Levitation) Wind Generators. High technology and highly efficient wind turbine technology developed by the Chinese. It's major advantage is that is can operate in extremely low wind velocities as low as 1.5m/sec (5km/h). This opens up many new areas to wind power generation.

Communism with Chinese Characteristics. {:soso_e100:}
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?
