Given what I have seen for 'centralized planning' over the years, I tend to cringe.  On the other hand, having a good regulation, and a better regulator, can hopefully keep things 'in check'.

must be like salt rubbing into the wound for the bondholders of GM who were left with 1 cent worth the $1 bonds


most did not feel any pain during GM's reconstruction process, they died quickly...
since the money did not burn + GM is still around, some folks got filthy rich during this transaction...
