Since there is an overlap by definition of UNCLOS rules, these areas of overlapping EEZ zones should be called NEEZ or Non-Exclusive Economic Zones.  In short, the two or three countries whose EEZ overlap in that area should all have the right to fish in that region.  Any mining or oil exploration should be conducted by a joint agreement.  Countries whose EEZ's do not overlap this region may not fish, mine or explore the region.  An alternative name is "Partially Exclusive Economic Zone" or PEEZ.

There is no good acronym for this, as someone could always sNEEZ at it, or PEE all over it.

Maybe, CEZ is best, called "Common Economic Zone".

Of course, disputes over sovereignty will alter the imputed EEZ also.  This solution does not apply to sovereign territory disputes.
