That's the idea.

By forcing Japan to surrender a second time ala 1945, China will make the rest of the world better.

That is China's duty to the truly civilized world.

WAR CLOUDS GATHERING IN JAPAN

Revo, Australia has just sent a destroyer to Japan to join it in a possible surprise offensive against Chinese marine surveillance vessels patroling Dioayudao.  It just arrived April 26, 2013, ready for action.  China's news media has taken note of this "contradiction" between Gillard's words and her government's actions.  Needless to say, China probably has also marked on the map where this newly arrived combatant came from.

War is brewing.  Tokyo is cooking up something big.  The Anglo-Japanese Alliance wants the good old days of Manchu defeat back in vogue again.  The Battle of East China Sea is shaping up, ala the Naval Battle of the Yellow Sea.  It promises to be one side's Austerlitz and the other side's Waterloo.  China's future as a sovereign country hangs in the balance.  The stakes are extremely high.  And thus the secrecy about it.

Japan would probably make a surprise attack on Chinese ships one of these days, but being more logical than the Chinese, they probably will also cripple a few Chinese naval bases as well, to prevent reinforcements and retaliation.  They have done it to Lu Shun (Port Arthur) twice, and Pearl Harbor once.  If war is to occur, of course, Japan always seeks the upper hand after the first strike.  It does not dabble in symbolic victories.  Only victories with massive casualties.

Does China have a credible Second Response naval and air force?  If not, China should be very worried.  The Japanese are literally coming again!  Today is Diaoyudao.  Tomorrow is Hainan and Qingdao.

The best way to avoid war is to be prepared.

CHINA'S TIMELESS DEFENSE IS "THEY WOUDN'T DARE!"

WHICH WORKS LESS THAN HALF THE TIME.

EXPLAINING WHY CHINA, AFTER ACHIEVING SOME DEGREE OF POWER AND PROSPERITY, ALWAYS FALLS UNDER THE SWORD OF A BARBARIC INVADER, TIME AND AGAIN.

The reason for this kind of wishful thinking is because Chinese have a tendency to think in other people's shoes, but forget that other peoples are not as fearful and cowardly as the Chinese, in general, are.

Thus, the tendency to think others will not dare attack China, when in fact, they do dare to attack China.  They did it at Canton in the First Opium War, at Tientsin in the Second Opium War, at the Yellow Sea in the First Sino-Japanese War, at Beijing in the Second Sino-Japanese War, and now, at Diaoyudao in the Third Sino-Japanese War.

The common feeling in China is that it is IMPOSSIBLE THAT CHINA WILL LOSE TO JAPAN AGAIN.

This is the reason why CHINA WILL LOSE TO JAPAN, because CHINA deludes itself that there is no power on earth strong enough to conquer the world's most populous country.  Wrong!  Japan was right in saying that if 7 million Manchus can rule over 700 million Chinese, there is no reason why a Japan that has conquered Manchuria, cannot also conquer the rest of China, and it almost did, were it not for Truman's gift to Hiroshima and Nagasaki that ended Japan's imperial dream.

FOR WANT OF A NAIL, A KINGDOM, NAY, A DYNASTY, WAS LOST - THE HISTORY OF THE DEFEAT OF KING RICHARD  ...
Corruption, treachery, and cutting the logistics of China, remain its three major weaknesses, before and even today.  Failure of logistics should not be considered just an act of thievery, laziness or sloppiness.  It is an act of TREASON and can be a capital offense in every sense of the
word.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.
                                    The traitor is the plague."
