Get on your donkey and drag your sled of rice back from the paddies. No roads, no water service,
no sewers, no airports, no military to defend China from the greedy western imperialists.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Anywhere around the world the great majority of young (and not so young!) people, think about entering the civil service.  It's gone from "trying to make a carreer" to "trying to make a decent living", and I'm afraid that in most cases a decent living can only be achieved with those such jobs.

In my view, it is the the lack of a sound social insurance system that leads to this phenomenon in some degree. Well, such lack of security would make youth feel unsafe, for they think that the can't have a stable life merely depend on their effort. For example, if they are fired by their company, they couldn't pay their house loan, car loan, even their food or clothes. But being a civil servant, they needn't to worry about this.

It's far better to work for the government than for some individual who's only interest in you is seeing
how much he or she can squeeze out of you for the least amount of pay.
In the future we'll all be civil servants and the rich will be eliminated as mankind progresses.

With all my respect Mr. Robert but you are an idiot

You said China is a communism nation.
Denial, according the psychoanalysts, is one of the most primary mechanisms of defense. It consists in the attitude of denying or minimizing obvious facts of reality with which the individual can´t  cope or whose irresponsibility is unable to meet.

And I agree.

The day that we graduated, only a few (sometimes, a small number) of university students wanna work in the Party committee and in gov. Most of university students prefer a job in companies.

After the new leader of civil servants, Wen Jiabao, had stepped onto the stage of power, more and more university students were struggling for a position in gov. Most of university students prefer a position in the party&gov rather than a job in companies.

What happened in the past 8 years?
our life is full of sunshine
