on the way...
preparing to first reception in Bride's home
Wedding albums are prepared long time before the wedding party
still there is some time to wait, so fish waits too
and kids :)
Chinese society seems to be child-booming
and here comes the Groom
first tea - before being allowed to visit the Bride's home
ok, passed first "test"
now He comes to the Bride's home, of course not empty-handed
to talk with the family
in meantime - first part of pre-wedding reception is almost ready
some says, that childs can see the Heavens...
this one is at list interrested in the sky
...while another one is posing on the roof
So it begins!
under management of the host family
guests please themself with the delicious food served
Some will eat later, now it is better time for a nap
Another part of the reception is much later
when the time slows down at the end of the day - the food speeds up ;)
Parents of the Bride - preparing some traditional gifts
while kids just have fun
Last snack this evening is the chicken
baked in the "owen" made of pieces of the ground, pre-heated by fire
And this is the end of first day.
Morning, the wedding day - everybody wakes up and start duties (around 5:00)
almost everything is already prepared
Now it is a time for the last rituals
and soon the Groom stands at the (closed) gate, and tries to convince the Braid's best friends to be allowed to enter
one of the task is singing a love song for the Bride
OK, passed that ;)
Now He have to find where the Bride is hidden, and then to use different arguments to be allowed to open the doors.
One of the usual tricks are red envelopes, that seems to work better then James Bond's lock-picking tools.
when succeed - may see the Bride
and give Her the flowers
then - the Bride, Groom, families and best-friends are marked
Groom's friends awaits in the living room
while Bride's friends makes a photo with Her
then short breakfast
packing the goods on the car
and the Bride leaves the house of Her parrents
and we drive to the house of the Groom
where the goods are delivered
so is The Couple
After the fireworks "cleans the way" from the ghosts, and smoke is fading away
Groom and Bride may enter the home, on the red carpet...
Traditional gifts, and the wedding portraits waits for Them
Now the Bride goes to separate room, when She is ceremonialy serviced by the women of the Groom's Family
then both the Bride and Groom are feeded
some last adjustments...
and we can go to the chapel,
where other part of the "spiritual blessing" is performed
then - back home
and soon we all depart for "tea reception" that is in a fact - the Wedding Party
After arriving at the restaurant there is still busy time for Them
but both seems not to be tired (at the moment)
Upstairs - gifts for the guest are ready
and guests gives Their gifts too
Every guest is welcommed by the Groom, Bride ant the families
after instructing last gests how to go to the restaurant
it is time to prepare for the final part
And here They comes!
Now there is time for a few smal customs ;)
then - the Rings
and some more rituals
that are finished when The Dragon enters the restaurant
Don't expect the flying snake with some feathers, or something like that... it is more like a pigglet who spent a bit too much time on the sun - until the skin is crispy.
During the party Bride and Groom hovers from table to table, having some drinks and toasts with everybody.
After about hour it is really like hovering... :)
The Party is almost over
The Couple is tired
but quite happy...
so... who will be next?
