This incredible specimen depicted below is the Skull-faced or Big-headed caterpillar, a very rare and endangered species fighting for its survival in the Australian rainforest.

This caterpillar, the larvae of the pink underwing moth, has unbelievably colorful and intricate designs on its head, some of which resemble tribal war paint or a chilling set of teeth-like markings set between spots that look like eyes with large pupils.
