What I do not like are ignorance, stupidity, chauvinism and bigotry. The other party has as much right as I have until it resorts to insults and nuisance.

I was  a frequent visitor to India in the 80s and the 90s. Power blackouts are a daily affair in the best hotels throughout India. Don't blame others for your incompetence!

Article 1 :
CHINA DIVERTS BRAHMAPUTRA : Why we Indians are so ignorant? by Hemand
The author asks a question "China is diverting Brahmputra water by building a huge dam on its side of the Brahmputra River – known as Tsangpo River in Tibet. According to reports, the dam is being constructed at a place called Namcha Barwa on the eastern plateau of Tibet."

This is from our government :

External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna on Friday reiterated that there was no evidence of construction of any dam on the river by China. "I have answered on this in the Parliament. I have gone on record to say that our satellite pictures do not convey construction of any storage activity on the Brahmaputra by Chinese authorities. Our ambassador is here. He has been apprised of it. He is aware about the issue, so we will get the report," Krishna said. Also China has officially clarified that such reports are not “consistent with facts.” China said the dam being built by it on river Brahmaputra will have no impact on the downstream flow of the river into India.

China has reiterated there had been no dams which are being constructed in Brahmaputra river which could affect the downstream flow of river. The fact is simple China would honor its word and second the terrain of Tbet makes it hard to make such endeavors

My original point :

You cannot dam the mighty Brahmaputra river just because of its sheer attitude from the glaciers. Nor you could change course for such a river considering the regional geography. Nor do we have any major power projects on the Brahmaputra river. Any halt in flow of Brahmaputra would directly affect the lives of 175 million people of Bangladesh which China would never do and Bangladesh might go to UN and OIC to make China feel bitter.

LGK says :

The Brahmaputra will have no water and the Brahmaputrans will miss their fish curry. Worse still, the Indians will have to buy electricity from China.
