How many things one athlete would carry? Victory, gold medal, expectation from everyone......huge stress....
I'm glad that he appeared at the 110m hurdles, though he fell at the first hurdle, he is still an excellent athlete. Fighting!

Liu Xiang represented China's best chance of gold on the track. No other hurdler is anywhere near him domestically and none will make the final probably, so what risk was there in allowing the one man with a chance to give it a go?
