The first one is the most common and traditional dresses for Chinese women.

The rest are modified and given a touch of mordernity.

I like the first collection.

The dresses in the first picture  were not worn during the long history of China until the 1920s. No way should they be considered 'traditional' .

I did seen the dresses in the state banquete worn by announcer of the programme and waitress in dine time and many occation.However it already taken as a official dress by the country.

It passed 90 years if I agreed with your timetable,then I can say its a tradition.
