Recently a message posted on the internet said the Buddhist abbot, Master Qing Xian of Qiongzhu temple which has a thousand-year history, quit his spiritual practice and resumed secular life on June 9 and held his wedding with a female boss who runs jade business and ages only 26 on June 17. Qiongzhu temple, built in years of Jyukan in Tang dynasty, is one of the holy lands of culture of China, where is 18 kilos aways from downtown Kunming. The existing architectures and painted sculptures were built in years of Guangxu in Qing dynasty. The five hundred statues of Lohan in Qiongzhu temple were representative and typical among all Buddha statues in Qing Dynasty. Reporter found the eldest Master, Xiu Guan in the temple, who is now 90 years old and has been practicing Buddhism for 78 years. “I heard that a Master got married for the first time. In Buddhism we let three kinds of people go, resuming secular life, going to study and going to travel. No one including his disciples knew Master Qing Xian’s resuming secular life until the Buddhism Association came to Qiongzhu temple to hold a clergy’s meeting after receiving Master Qing Xian’s resignation. Master Xiu Guan smiled and said, “someone called and told me he got married in Daguanlou yesterday. Many Lay Buddhists from other places called me as well, asking if he’s made any mistake. According to Buddha Rule, One Automatically Derobe himself when he thinks of Secular life!!!

It is the unwritten rule but he submitted his resignation letter so it is officially recognised!!!

He will be suffering from secular life, a life that are more nosiy and complicated than monk's life i think. however, it is also attractive.
