There is no such thing as a true democracy because the wealthy will always have undue
influence on any election. It's just that simple.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Quoting the old saying: Democracy is the least bad of all political systems.

In between democracies ...

One only has to think of America where so many are excluded from voting and have no political rights due to rules which exclude them as individuals whilst espousing the rights of ALL.
