The best solution is to stop it at it's source. Before anything leaves the production facility it is independently tested, each and every batch of product.

Then spot checked at the delivery points randomly to check on the testing done at the production facility.

The entire process needs to have test in place throughout production.

Something like this:

The feed used for the bovine dairy cattle.
The milking machines and instruments themselves.
The containers for transporting the product in the process of preparation to delivery to the consumer.
The finished product itself BEFORE IT GOES OUT THE FACILITIES DOORS.
Then randomly spot checked at the stores.

Hey people, this is food. A food source that is consumed by the majority of people. Terrorist come to mind to with biochemical toxins. Safeguards for the public and nation should already be in place. Still playing catch-up to the 21st century.

The single largest shareholder is COFCO a state owned company. In June the founder resigned as CEO and a new CEO was appointed.

Mengnui should look seriously into their QC system; too many flaws in too short time means something is not working right in Inner Mongolia's plants.

I agree they should look into their quality control. But in a lot of cases that's like asking the fox to check the fence around the chickens, especially with this corporation it sounds.

Their QC would increase dramatically if an independent testing agency were to conduct a strategically planned product testing program implemented by the government for the peoples safety. Allowing unannounced spot checks by a privately held corporation.

This should be implemented as an industry standard. And any inspector discovered to ever be on the take should face the harshest penalties.

Accordingly any product found via this testing to not be in compliance with the predetermined standards should be pulled and destroyed immediately. The company fined and additional inspections over and above administered for a given time period, say six months.

That people feel safe to do whatever they want, it's high profitable and low risky...again like the school bus, or like CRH, or like hogwash oil...endless loop, if that wasn't a joke we live in, i cannot name it.

What kind of "progress" is that?

Mengniu should have learnt from its grievous criminal past and b ...

The progress is that nobody had a chance to consume even a single drop of the tainted milk.
It was caught before it shipped.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

I didn't know there were enough Dutch Ladies to supply even a small portion of China with milk.
Cows are much more efficient and the milk is much richer.

That is, your loss is their gain!

Questions:
Why do Chinese worship foreign brands or goods in China? Unless the Chinese made products such as foodstuffs, diaries and drinks come clean immediately, there will be a huge surge for foreign goods in China.

Why couldn't those local Chinese producers / manufacturers smarten up quickly with the best auto-analysis systems to check on quality, obviously they are not poor chaps? Those guys cannot rely on human hands and eyes in such a delicate dairy processing system. (* Quite obvious too that bosses could spend on a string of modern flashy cars and luxurious houses in China and abroad; but would be too stingy to spend more to equip their factories. *)

Perhaps, the governments have been too slack on them or with shadowy high officials behind them, so all could "skim over the top of the creamy foams" while the ordinary consumers may suffer the consequences of the ordeals. What can be done to better the system in China while it is just as well too irritating to blame the cow, if not the cow_guys?
What's on your mind...
