We were alone in this?

The soviets have no blame at all for creating their monster?

1) It was a conjoined effort of world politics in the era 1945 - 1950 .......

2) It became an idealistic struggle to win and ended in a stalemate  ........

3) The Good Guys never went that extra mile to end it .........

In fact, they as the 'Good Guys' made the smashed and broken bogeyman even bigger  .......

Were they right ........ ?

No ......

Vietnam and Russia and China ideologies have already proved  .........

That it was nothing more than paranoia  .........

So many dead for nothing ..........

But what massive arms production for the corporates  ........

Now that really does deserve an accolade  .......

And your dead as in modern day Iraq .........  ?

Collateral damage  .........

Of a military complex ideology ............

Arlington a great place to celebrate profits  ..........

Crispy clean flags for the dummies who actually achieved .........

Entry to your next war  ...........

And make no mistake ..........

Your government is already planning it .............

Don't believe me  ........

I don't care ........

But it will happen .........

What was nothing more than paranoia?

N.Korea proved the exact opposite.  That yes....communism is scary.

Look....I love the ideal of communism, but the only place it really worked well was in former yugoslavia.

Communism in most countries started with mass bloodshed, china not excluded.

It scared the world.  You can blame Stalin for that.

After Stalin, the soviet union became much more saner and they were able to achieve many accomplishments, same with China.

But you can't blame the world for reacting the way they did during those times.  The SU was a very different SU in the 40's and 50's than in the 70's and 80's.  Same with China.

From an outside view....very scary.

And WWII kind of changed things forever.  I think for the first time, 'morality' came into play and the rules of war were set in geneva.  There was just this new kind of thinking brought on from the world wars.

Some of this created unnecessary paranoia for sure.  And I won't excuse all the bloodshed lost in all the proxy wars (even the small ones in south america).

But I do recognize how this thinking came about and it wasn't all just imaginary.

It was Stalin that scared the ---- out of the west and rightly so.

The soviets lost some 35 million fighting the germans and were ready for a full ground war with Japan, regardless of the casualties....Stalin cared not about these things.
