Maybe Chinese in Mainland China are young baby. So far  they do not grow up enough to watch these 3d porn film.

So, government protect mainland Chinese  like a mother protecting their children f ...

If this is your logic, I would say that it is not only the Mainland China people but you should also regard Singaporeans as young babies too.

There was also a 3-D porn movie (can't remember the title) which Singapore censorship board cut a whole 18 minutes.  The responses from the netizens, though mixed, were slanted towards favouring the censorship.  Gladly !

I am on the side of favouring censorship  -- not so much of feeling "not grown up" (since I am a pretty confident person), but rather the purpose of it.  Do you feel a perverted enjoyment seeing other people having sex ?  If you happened to pass by your neighbour's house and hearing noises they made, would you peep at them or have the urge to to do so ?

Goodness !

To me, I feel that sex is an intimacy between two loving people (or maybe not so "loving", if you think of a prostitute and a man).  It is really the 2-person business.  But some people just "love" it -- watching others do it !

Instead of reprimanding the censorship board for treating the people as babies, I am inclined to think of the critics and the unhappy people as "inadequate" and "lacking".

Perhaps, perhaps, because they have NONE of the pleasure, porn movies serve to fill up their vacuum !!!   This is not uncommon knowledge, do you know ?

The other (also more important) reason for supporting censorship of porn movies (worse now that they are in 3-D) is EXPLOITATION !

Clearly, these movie-makers are all out to MAKE MONEY !  "SEX SELLS !"  as well as it can be an addiction and to intoxicate the fools and the inadequate !

Remember, Opium ?

That is why we need censorship and be heavily censored too !

How would you characterize Singapore's current economy?

More and more, private capitalism. We started off with state capitalism because we did not have the entrepreneurs. Our entrepreneurs were traders, and traders have no capital and don't have the foresight or capability to sink in capital for many years before a return comes. So the state sent out its best officers, who were entrepreneurial, and started Neptune Orient Lines, Singapore Airlines. But we have privatized them.
.

Like private economy, as Lee Kwan Yew said, the entrepreneur is young baby. now it has grown up now.

Like Mainland China, Many government-own company managers were appointed as local governors lately. Part of reason is that few of previous government officials know how the market economy run. Many of the previous officials had grown up in planned economy. The previous officials know little about capitalism.

Limited within the scope of market economy, Mainland China is growing up.

hahahahaaa...30 years ago, Most Chinese often wear clothes in blue, black, etc with the limited color and the limited style.  Like the movie "Jie Shang Liu Xing Hong Qun Zi", Chinese was growing up from Deng's reform.

The same logic...the same thing is taking place in the TV and film screen.

Maybe 10 years later, Mainland Chinese can watch the sam films as Chinese in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Before Deng's reform (not before 1949), people dare not to discuss the sex. hahahaahaa..

Many people recited the Mao's theory in the blind date. Now Chinese don't need to recite the leader's theory when the boyfriend and girlfriend met each other.
+++++++++++++++

Oh, and then do you mean Chinese in Hong Kong and Taiwan suffer from the spiritual Opium if they watch this film?

If so, Let us save them now........hahaaahaa
