How many government cars are there in China?

Nobody knows this figure yet, even the President Hu and Primer Wen don't know it so far.

But we know:

The major departments under surveillance of Municipal government of Beijing owned 62,026 cars.

the disclosure of the figure is a first for China.

though we don't know how many government cars there are in the rest departments of Beijing Municipal government (without surveillance). (probably 30,000 cars in estimation.)

We don't know how many government cars there are in Central government and the rest of local government yet.

How much costs are these government cars?

Nobody knows this figure too.

But we can know a little from a few estimations:

e.g. a Fu Ju-level car cost about 150,000 yuan ($23,000) a year.

That is to say, if Chinese government greatly raise the salaries of government officials but cut parts of government cars, Chinese government would save at least 100 Billion yuan ($15 billion) a year.

I believe there are far too many and most of all with big engines.

No government initiatives on pollution reduction within the government itself.

Would appreciate if anybody could convince me of the opposite.

Choice 1: This at least 100 billion yuan is distributed to government officials through salaries.
Choice 2: This at least 100 billion yuan would be spent and wasted in government cars as usal.

I think Choice 1 is better than  Choice 2.

Ordinary Chinese distrust the data - 60,000 government cars.

the government cars owned by central government = x

the government cars owned by Municipl government = y

x/2  + y = nearly 500,000 government cars in Beijing.

++++++++++++
The whole cars = A

the privated owned cars = B

Probably government cars = A- B = more than 700,000 government cars in Beijing.
