GA say we have about 600,000 problem gamblers( 2% of the population ) in the UK.  The advent of internet gambling has seen a sharp rise in women gamblers-they can do it in private.

Gamblers who previously had just about enough control to avoid disaster when they could only bet with the cash in their pockets lost more when they could sit in their own homes keep on gambling and max out on plastic.

Im generally against prohibition because vice-whatever the vice-ends up in the hands of criminals but i dont think internet gambling has done anybody any good except the proprietors of the sites.  They of course are not gamblers they are blood suckers.
