It doesn't matter what we think, but it matters what Chinese people think about the destruction of the beauty of their heritage and culture.
It won't be long before they start noticing and protesting more and more.
And the authorities won't be able to suppress the opinions forever.

As a developing country, China has to sacrifice some old and natural places to build business centers and factories
Chinese government is trying to make a balance between protecting the traditional and developing the modern
There is no point for the government to destruct the beauty of their heritage intentionally

No authority is so stupid to go against the public opinion on this kind of matter
Tell you a truth:
The government is truly supported by the majority of people in China
You can save your trouble to be always trying to rescue Chinese people

The reason that China's cities are ugly is because China has no soul and no truth. Architecture, like art, follows soul and embodies truth. As China has neither, it shows to the world an ugly face, ...

China is well known with its profound cultural background

Especially, love and harmony are valued highly in China

People like you who hold so much hatred and extreme have no way to understand China

I also doubt you have good taste on art.

The highest art should encourage love and sincerity

Love of your own family, all others be damned. Harmony with what I say, what you need or want be damned.

Yes, "love and harmony". War is Peace. Slavery is Freedom.
"Justice prevails... evil justice."

chinese cities all look alike..........
probably beijing is the only different chinese city.......
all other provincial capitals in china seem to've  been modelled after 'shanghai'....... or ' shenzhen'............
it's kind of good though........
broad roadways............trimmed buildings.......well kept kenaf hedges ........ well maintained gardens..................camphor trees by the pavements.........lights and the lightnings..........
it's the same all over china.......
or say at least in the places i've been to in china......
i don't feel these tngs to be ugly at all.....:)

Please describe "China's model".
.
The Chinese Model:

You work hard; you swallow your pride; you make cool and strategical plannings for your future; you then invest your hard earnt cash in your future and you make sure no body try to do the Yoyota job on you they did to Mr. Toyoda

Isn't it just a copy of western capitalism without the oversight, sensible labour laws and worker benefits which the capitalist west has had for de ...

Let's see if you can see any capitalism in this:

The Chinese national flag have 5 bright, proud, and glowing star to it. These stars doesn't mean the states of the Chinese union; it's meaning is as follow:

The main or larger star is symbolic of China's political affiliation which is guided socialism. Under the guidance of socialism are 4 (four) distinct but smaller stars. These stars are symbolic of China's national and social infrustructure and the symbolisms of these star are as follow:

1) "工" (Gōng); symbolic of the blue collar workers of Chinese society
2) "農" (Nóng); symbolic of those of the agricultural/farming social mix
3) "兵" (Bīng); symbolic of China's  National Defense or military realm and...

4) ""(Shāng); which is symbolic of the [entrepreneurial, business, finance or capitalistic factions which makes every social body or mass hum like a fine tune 400 cubic inches displacement V-8 and China is no exception to this very very human reality...

So, what about capitalism???  Should it be a stranger to China???

[size=-2]
Correct me if I'm wrong about the symbolism's in our flag Dear compatriots because I could be wrong or [the original meaning of what I deem as symbolic of our national flag might have or could have been misinterpreted] to mean something else these days...

Putin's a killer. This was the claim made by Fox News journalist; Bill O'Reilly during his recent interview with Donald Trump. Trump's reply came in the form of a simple question. What, you think our country's so innocent?

Edisonone- the usual explanation is that the four stars are gong, nong, xiao zichan and minzu zichan.  On the other hand, some people claim that the five stars represent Hanzu, Manzu, Huizu, Zangzu, and Mengzu.
