Pearl river region 's average GDP is already $10,000   why are so many backward minded people trying to make few bucks here and there by doing low tech manufacturing such as shoes, clothes, textile, toys, furniture there.

Pearl River delta region with $10,000 GDP , its should have products that can compete with Taiwan and Korea.

Even assembly of PC board is low tech..

Chinese government should Ban all those low tech manufacturing and assembly work in pearl river delta region and move all them into inner provinces.

In the pearl river region, it should expand dramatically for companies such huawei, BYD,  and LCD panel makers LED chip maker, and the equipment makers,  semiconductor fab, medical equipment maker, software...

Kick out all those shoes, clothes, textiles toys and furniture makers and those backward people  out of pearl river region.
kick those low tech guys  into Guizhou, Yunnan, Guanxi, Hunan...

You don't know much about the manufacturing mix of economies. Most of the production in both countries is pretty low tech; IIRC Korea has most of its economy in things like textiles and metalwork. Taiwan is pretty similar in this mix. My computer case actually comes from Taiwan, it was made by Lian Li and it's not really a high-tech good. It does, however, cost quite a bit on the market because the quality control is some of the best in the industry.

You just don't hear about this much because only wonky people like me are interested in the non-flashy, though huge, segments of the economy.

Certain areas are concentrated only for hightech.  like Taiwan's Hsinchu.

So? High tech is a minority of Taiwan's economy. This is one of those times when you are talking but don't know anything about what's going on.

I don't know why you ever made such statement.

Taiwna's bread and butter is its foundry business in the world.  That's its calling card.  Without it... Its GDP perc apita wouldn't surpass $10,000   It will be just like malaysia, thailand..  Those two has developed for a long time but couldn't get over hump because they have nowhere near the hightech concentration of a taiwan.
