So you support censorship. Great. This means that for example there are 18 subjects which you may never read about.

Those subjects include yuan revaluation, corrupt1on, problems in T1bet and X1njian. It also includes the problems faced by many chinese university students who don't find a job after graduation, food safety and prices of cooking oil.

But hey. Censorship is great. Why would you want to know about those topics? Who wants to read news about problems which they didn't even know that they exist? It's much better to not read negative news every day. And it's not impotant if your children don't find a ajob after university. They just didn't learn enough, right? Blame it on the students. Students only need to work harder, then everyone will be happy. No need to report about it.

"Most of the subjects that people are interested in have been banned. We don't know what to report on," said an official at a Chinese newspaper.

But commentaries that "criticize U.S. actions" were welcomed, even ordered.

Other problems which you don't need to read about and which are therefor rightfully censored:

* High medical fees
* Disparity of wealth
* Reform of the registration system seperating urban dwellers from rural residents
* Forecasts of appointments for Communist Party leaders
* Expansion of autonomy at universities
* The collapse of school buildings in the 2008 Sichuan earthquake and delays in reconstruction
* The beating death of a steel plant president in Jilin province
* Collusion between police and gangster in Chongqing
* Rising real estate prices and the housing shortage and real estate developers trying to increase land prices

But hey. We support censorship. We don't want to know all those trivial things. We only want to read happy news! Censorship is great. Everyone should censor, so the people don't know what's going on in the country. It only makes them sad if they know w hat's going on. But we need more happy citizens through censorship!

Minds are like parachutes: they only function when they're open.
