1.]Did 1969  Apollo 11 mission ever take place?
2.]Yes, Armstrong and his fellow astronauts set foot on our moon.
3.]No,  Armstrong and his fellow astronauts, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins, never got further than a few orbits         of the Earth and landed at Dreamland.

do you have any reason to doubt that they made it there?

Don't be so upset. From personal experience, nothing possible could take 11 years to repeat.
One had to be a 'Lunatic'...
President George W Bush announced the USA's ambition to return to the Moon, he was told it would take 11 years to put the engineering together. High tech via 40 years ago, a la 1969. You got to be kidding mate

I watched a recent "Mythbusters" episode which had a look at a couple of the conspiracy theorists (read lunatics) evidence of the moon landing being a "Capricorn 1" type fake.

The three main ones were;

1/ Shadows cast by the lunar lander and other objects appearing not to be parallel (from a single light source - the Sun)

2/ The brightness of one astronaut's spacesuit as he was on the ladder of the lander in the shadow of the lander (CT nutcases claim he should have been in total darkness)

3/ The waving of the US flag as it was being planted indicated that there was a "breeze" on the moon (where there should be a vacuum.

4/ The photograph of Aldrin's footstep was too defined to have been in dry dust, ie there must have been moisture in the dust to maintain the shape of the boot's treads.

In items 1 & 2 scale models were made and lit by a single light source.
The resultant photographs corresponded with the moon photos indicating clearly that the conspiracy theorists were wrong.

Items 3 & 4 were conducted in large vacuum chambers with flags, boots and an analog of lunar regolith (dust), again the results prove the CT nutcases were wrong.

And of story!

When they counted again recently, they discovered no fewer than 22 per cent believed that the Apollo 11 Moon landing never happened.

That's more than 60 million suspicious Americans.

I watched the same one and can confirm this. It was interesting to see how they, piece by piece, dismantled the CT's.
