From where you sensed foreigners or Chinese pointing fingers at China authorities on reporting the 'great leap' numbers of sick babies? Anyone questioned why the 'great leap' yet?
....
If I bought Sanlu milk powder serval bags before August 6 and fed my  baby until 9.11, should I not blame the officials as well? 38 days!!!

Hi Amy,
I can only imagine the anger and frustration many thousands, if not millions, of people feel about the behaviour of Sanlu executives and provincial officials in ignoring a most serious health risk to tens of thousands of babies in China.
It is a breach of trust and a clear breach of the responsibilities those people had to their customers, their citizens and a new generation of Chinese citizens.

Fortunately the national government has immediately gone into action in promising free health care for those affected, and arrested the officials suspected of involvement.

It is rather sad that Mengzhi would rather side with those trying to cover up or shift the blame.
Apparently the New Zealand part owner of Sanlu was not informed about this problem immediately and when they were aware, they tried to get Sanlu to do the right thing, but they didn't have enough members on the board of Sanlu (some reports say that only one New Zealand board member spoke Chinese). So they had to go through the New Zealand government to get them to inform Beijing.
Mengzhi wants to attack those people who did the right thing and stopped more Chinese babies from becoming sick.
Mengzhi does this because New Zealanders are white and he prefers to blame the white man than anyone else.
This problem has nothing to do with who's Anglo and who is Chinese. It is only to do with those who caused the illness of all those children and the pain it's caused to the kids and their loving parents.

I hope that your family does not suffer from this deliberate poisoning of the milk and I hope that all the affected children recover quickly and don't suffer long term complications.

Regards.

You are a Malaysian quack in Australia.

But let us remember, there are many decent, intelligent and capable Malaysians in Australia , sadly Mengzhi is not one of them.

Hey Guys

I am not taking sides here and please don't blast me if I get this wrong.

As I understood it.  Independant farmers have cows.  Cows make milk and the farmers collect it from the cow.

It is then contracted to Sanlu.  Sanlu tests it for the protein level and if it passes the farmer gets paid.

However, some farmers were adding Melamine and water to make the quantity of the milk bigger = more money.

Sanlu were only tesing for protein level and the melamine made it pass this.

Sanlu went on to make dairy products = problem.

I do not see the government involved in this untill it went wrong. Now they know that they are involved and have to regulate.

Sanlu are at fault whoever they are owned by for not having more tests other than just protein.

The farmers are at fault for being greedy.

Please, on inspecting the above help me to understand what is different so that I discuss this better.

Thanks Guys.

I will correct you if no others would.

Yes, there is no doubt that the farmers own the cows and milk them for Sanlu.  There is no doubt that the farmers (being also poor) are greedy to make some quick bucks from Sanlu and be part of the supply chain of Sanlu's milk.

But are they really responsible?  Are they in the position to decide what and how the milk should be produced?  Do they fully understand what melamine is and the harm it can and has caused?

The answer is NO.  The farmers have NO absolute power in there and they have NO say.  They are being used.

Sanlu has to take responsibility and so have the authorities for the lax in regulation.

Sanlu's responsibility should not be borne only by the Chinese partners; the foreign partners (owning 43% right?) should share equal responsibility.

I don't believe the foreign partners of Sanlu are really "sleeping" partners and would give the Chinese partners a "free hand" ~~ except, perhaps, when it comes to the criminal act but, definitely, not when it comes to lining their own pockets.  Whatever, they do owe a moral responsibility (if not legal responsibility) for what happened.  They DID know it was wrong, is my conviction.

Do you swallow whampoa or do you take it up the Johor Straits?

For me, if one has done wrong one simply has to own up to responsibility.

I don't side with anyone.  I side with FACTS and TRUTHS.

When the news broke out about the deaths of 5 children in China.

I wasn't sure if I was angry.

I was TOTALLY DISTRAUGHT !

I felt DEVASTATED !

That's my FEELINGS even when the children who died and became sick are not my own.

Do you have any children of your own whampoa?

Or do you live alone, posting on the Internet when normal people have better things to do at past-midnight in Singapore?

Well, bumboy, this is NOT funny.

We are talking about children.  We are talking about deaths.  We are talking about a tragedy and tragedies.

I would love to take care of my own comfort but I wouldn't when there is a point to make and things to say ~~ if and when I can.

I will and I would do it even at my own personal discomfort and inconvenience.

I am not like some, and I don't really care for being liked here.  I don't say good and nice things to people so that I will feel welcome.  I am not pretentious and have no need for it. :)

Spare us your crocodile tears mate .

emu owes this forum members an explanation as to why the New Zealanders in Sanlu are exonerated and exempted from the guilt of a deliberate scam in adding poison to harm Chinese babies !!

It is not that mengzhi points fingers at the whites simply because they are white but that emu immunize the whites no matter what criminal acts they have performed . This is called racism .

As to his crocodile tears for the harm done to Chinese babies ,what cods wallop . He praised the fake monks for the killing of 21 Chinese in TbT not so long ago . Hypocrisy is genetic in his case .
