By definition, all acts of God are now defined as karma? I hope folks in China start believing in God too in this case because there's a ton of karma happening there too on a regular basis.

Tropical Storm Lee hits US Gulf Coast

Sun Sep 4, 2011 5:3PM GMT

A satelite image showing Tropical Storm Lee in the US Gulf coaston on september 3.
Tropical storm Lee has hit the US Gulf Coast, posing a flood threat for New Orleans, which is still devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

The storm that pounded the US Gulf Coast with winds of 45 mph and up to 20 inches of rain is expected to soon reach New Orleans, Reuters quoted the National Hurricane Center as saying.

Meanwhile, Louisiana authorities extended a storm warning from Mississippi to Texas. At the same time, the storm has brought oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico to a complete stop.

More than 35,000 people have been left without power. This comes as weather forecasters do not predict a better situation for the region's near future.

Authorities are preparing for an extensive flood in the region, which still shows damages from Hurricane Katrina when flood poured over 80 percent of New Orleans and left about 1,500 people death.

Lee comes less than a week after Hurricane Irene killed more than 40 people in the US and caused power cut to millions of homes and businesses.

Wildfires ruin 300 homes, kill 2 in US

Mon Sep 5, 2011 7:0AM GMT

A firefighter fights a wildfire in Graford, Texas on September 1.
Fast-burning wildfires fanned by dry winds have destroyed at least 300 homes and killed two people in the United States' southern state of Texas, reports say.

Winds from tropical storm Lee also whipped up wildfires that are threatening 1,000 more homes in Bastrop County, just east of Austin.

Firefighters are battling wildfires across the region, including one that has burned through nearly 80 hectares in Pflugerville and parts of Bastrop County.

Sheriff Maxey Cerliano said that a 20-year-old woman and her 18-month-old daughter were killed after the wildfire engulfed their home, about 161 kilometers east of Dallas, on Sunday. Celiano added that a man was also injured in the incident, AP reported.

Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued in much of the affected area.

its all very well to be screen hooker, though, for she can as much money as she likes.

Nearly 100 million Chinese have found god themselves (if you count the buddhists in, then even more) - keep searching, and you'll find him too :)

But linking natural disasters with "bad karma" is ridiculous.
Perhaps, the numerous droughts and floods in China as well as the desertification can be linked to the extreme environmental pollution - but when it comes to earth quakes, it's getting totally ridiculous. A hurricane can at least be linked to the climate change, which is made by CO2-pollution and changes in cosmic radiation, but that's also not the fault of a single country.

Instead of complaining and blaming all the way, we should rather take actions to improve our situation.
