Good news !

First it was Prince Charles , now it is Speilberg . At this rate the Beijing Olympics will be the cleanest games of all time . These trash need to understand that it is the generosity of the Chinese government and people who allowed them the privilege of being involved.  Charlie has nothing to offer at all and although Spielberg has some good form , it is not as if he knows anything about Chinese art and celebrations . Good riddance to bad rubbish .

Darfur as a beating stick is so juvenile .  This horrendous human tragedy has been in the making for a long time : long before China was even heard of in African affairs.  The British colonized the place in !916 and they have neglected the infrastructure till independence in '65 . The present conflict is the result of global warming , famine and survival .The Europeans , Americans and Brits have had their paws all over the oil and other resources for the past centuries . They are the most influential powers and they have happily sold arms to them for years . Suddenly  , Farrow and Spielberg cooked and sexed up this Hollywood block buster and accuse China for " failing to use her close connections with the Sudanese government " to alter the course of events !?  What ever happened to the shrinking violets and coy maidens called USA , UK & Europe ? What ever happened to the UN and its peace keeping responsibilities ?

This is an example of grasping at straw . Instead of looking into the mirror and see who those ugly ducklings are , this convenient finger pointing is too cute by half .  China has business relationship with every country on earth : so has the US , UK and others .

I hope that the feral crowd would disqualify themselves before August so that the rest of humankind can get on with and enjoy the Olympics with out the stench of hypocrisy .

The point Spielberg makes is genuine. It comes from the hard fact that China is doing nothing to end the genocide and is indeed doing more than any other nation on earth to assist the atrocities in Darfur ....

?!!

China doing nothing to end genocide? Is there any genocide there?

The UN delegation confirmed that there's NO genocide in Sudan. It's only western invested propaganda to defame China.

Saving Private Ryan ---

" Spielberg said he was prompted by his conscience.  Well, it seems he had pretty well cleared his own conscience about  US millitary excesses in Vietnam and Iraq.  Probably because they had given him a medal for Saving Private Ryan. "

Just the same logic as... they cry for Hongkong democrazy after colonising it for more than 100 years.

Beijing Olympics will be the most succesful ever and the mosquitos maybe make annoying dizz, but they'll be isolated during the most expected sport event take place.

Put It In Perspective

"money and weapons from Beijing have helped fuel a conflict which has claimed 200,000 lives and forced 2.5 million people from their homes."

What the hell is "have helped"?  But for the guns delivered by the despicable Yanks to the southern Sudanese, there'd be no civil war.  It is all the American's fault today, as they continue to incite the Chads to invade Sudan also.

"A trillion dollars of bombs and soldiers from Washington DC were the direct causes of over 500,000 Iraqi lives, and obliterated the homes for over 10 million, forcing these displaced Iraqis to become refugees."

Now that's what is real atrocity.  But do we hear the oh so caring American coward hypocrites like Steven Spielberg or Mia Farrow say anything about that?  NOOOO....., these cheap shot artists would instead point their fingers at China!! Hypocrites.

I think the other Spielberg thread has disappeared... so enjoy it while it's here, people.

Mengzhi, for what it's worth the argument is that Britain, USA etc started trying to help in Sudan, but China has been blocking UN action.  Anyway, like I said I think it's academic as mummy and daddy won't let us talk about this right now, or it'll be straight to bed with no supper.
