maybe it's true some Vn people do not welcome Chinese there. That exactly shows their misunderstandings. We need work hard to make the two peoples understand each other better.

Just have a look for yourself. Visit Hanoi, HCMC, Da Nang or Hue and you'll quickly realize that the majority of foreign visitors are Chinese. You'll find them in the thousands. This is clear evidence that VN does welcome them since othwise they just wouldn't travel there..

China is friend to Vietnam, ofcourse.

Vietnamese on the other hand do look at China differently.

there is no country  on this planet that is more chinese than vietnam, however they are more suspicious of china than any other.

Just look at thier national heroes.trung sisters and co.

another thing if you are dealing with vietnamese people remember  they are a divided people.

North - South differences in outlook in life and their speech accents.Let alone politics.

One Thing For Sure Though

But one thing is for sure - the Vietnamese LOVE the Americans.  They love them as much as they love the French.

After that nasty little issue with Pol Pot - the Vietnamese figured what with America, it has a devil it knows versus the angel it thought they did.

Let me try again...

1 9 7 3 vs. 1 9 8 9 - what is the more recent memory for the younger generations of Vietnam?
