Actually, 80% of Americans live in areas simply not classed as rural. Most of them live at low densities in suburbs. China does not use the same classification system as the US; were the US to use the Chinese system, most of the "non-rural" land in Oklahoma would be reclassed as "rural".

Does anyone have a copy of Chinese classifications for Land Use?

Furthermore, does anyone have a brief synopsys for Chinese land purchase laws?  If my hazy memory serves, both are still based on more or less the original articles of governemnt from 1949, correct?

Trader,

I do not. I know the classification system is different from an introduction to land use policy class, it was used as an example of how widely the standards diverged.

i think there is no such rules such as "Freehold" land in China!

and much more...

with so much cultural burden, socialist, domestic political problem and ancient rules in China, i would think China would be truly successful to get US$10,000 per capita economy!

cheerios!
