Take it which ever way you like. The faultier the product , the shriller the sell. The bottom line is :

There is no democracy in Taiwan.

Is there any democracy in Mainland China then?

Which peoples have the greater choice in who governs and leads them,

Mainland China or Taiwan?

Please enlighten us oh great Mengzhi.

Stone the crows.

Thank you emu, you can prostrate yourself there and pay attention. I am going to say it only once.

The PRC is Communist. Therefore they don't need to play with McDoanld's democracy. Communism has its system of choice of leadership and there is democracy within those constraints. There is at the present more democracy in Mainland China than any of those funny-bunny ones in USA , Taiwan, Australia or Canada. Of course some would even care to trunddle out Iraq as a " democracy " when they are desperate enough.

I remember trying to educate you once before. PRC is communist. Can you stop asking apples to squeeze out orange juince ? What the heck do they teach the buggers down under nowadays ? Strewth , stone the crows matey.

It's not about ideological differences and their modes of formation. It's about real-estate and blood ties.

The island has been part of the mainland far longer than staten island has been part of the US, originator of the ideology.   How can a child be dissociated from its mother just because the child has been seduced by the whiff of some scent other than that of its parent?  Blood ties cannot be diluted by some invention of the mind.  Expressive of the blood tie spirit, the jade vegetable still remains a prime exhibit in the island's museum.  Where it did come from?  Where should it go back to?

It's real-estate and blood ties.  If you walk the streets of China, there's no hate of people on the island; au contraire, there is only love for the common folks. Understandably, not the splittists, though, who remain quiet on the one country two system model as well.  What more can one say? How can 1,500 million be wrong, and a group of separatists be right?

The root is the key. It is a root key.

Gems before Swine.

Markwu is spilling gems before swine.  This blood ties caper is so remote from these colonialists you may as well be explaining that the moon is made of green cheese.  This bunch of foreign inconsequentials have nothing better to do except come on board an English forum run by the China Daily  ( any Chinese forum run by a English daily ? ) and think that they can score here. They think they can bulldoze through with their " superior " English and confuse the natives. They found, to their chagrin, that they cannot because their language skill does not allow them even to match up with the best and moreover their myths evaporated  like so much morning dew when the sun rises.

Hats off to you mark for trying. Just watch the spin doctors come back and twist your lecture by the tail. Watch.
