More to come !

reyquer,

Pay no attention to that little puny being sitting at the back row, moaning and groaning about nothing. These trains are testimonials to the rapid and far sighted investment China is making in every aspect of her infrastructure, espicially transportation. These trains are China designed and China made. They save a heck of a lot of money compared to buying them from aborad. Later these can be exported as well. It is a win-win situation . This does annoy, irritate and anger those who would harbour ill-will and malevolent towards China. The last thing they wish to see is a China booming and zooming ahead.  Get over it fellas. There are more   to come yet. Fasten your seat belts and come for the ride !

The train tested in Shanghai-Hangzhou that everybody is talking about is a 100% Japanese train, named CHR2 in China.

The China Star project (The chinese High-speed train project you may be refering to) is paused for the moment.

the problems with IP

The problems with IP is that most of it is owned by the western world... and 20 years ownership of an idea is not good for innovation... especially in today's society where new ideas are always being kicked around... and especially in China...
when only large corporations can afford to develop , own , and protect IP then only the big corporations will grow...

IP is bad for the little guy who cannot afford to fight the big corporations..

The USA wants china to honor the IP but the reason they want this is because it's how they want to make money off of china...

Here's a link to a discussion about the US patent system...

BTW this is a watered down version of my previous post which was deleted by moderators..
