The love affairs between doctors and patients, teachers and students, bosses and subordinates, directors and the actors/actresses, errrrr...priests and followers, are always, in most of the cases, ...
In the west, all these relationships are a bit taboo. Sometimes they happen and work, but usually they are frowned upon and people close to those people will tell them to be careful, watch out, etc.
Let's say Person A is the boss, teacher, doctor, etc
Person B is the student, patient, etc..
The thing is, person B looks up to Person A, and is sometimes in awe of his/her knowledge. And if person A has helped B in some way, which is usually the case, then B does end up having some positive feelings for A, but those feelings may be translated wrong just because they are also attractive. It is not uncommon at all for patients to fall for their pyschologists, because they have gotten inside their moind, and B feels that A is the only one who understand them. That could be true in simpler ways for all of the above.
Is this called the Oedipus complex? Or is that only with parents?
