You guys are again confusing racism with descrimination even though both are so close.|
You also mix in dislike, and animosity.
The key has already been written - forget who said it first but it was repeated in the thread - that racism is the racial belief that one race is better than another. It has nothing to do with disliking a group of people because of the actions of that other group of people.
Chinese people dislike the japanese because of the evil they did in Asia and their refusal to accept that they were and many are still, evil.
Chinese people dislike white foreigners because of the evil they did in Asia and their refusal to accept that they were and many are still, evil.
But neither of these is racism...it is dislike, hatred, animosity, disgust.
Racism is better defined by the actions of the treatment of the Negroid race by the Caucasian race starting from the actions of the Caucasian race by their theft of human beings from Africa to be slaves to the Caucasian race.
It is also well-defined by the "reverse" racism by some of the Negroid race against Caucasians in their treatment of Caucasians in those countries such as America where members of the Negroid race exclude Caucasians from their social circle.
All the rest is discrimination - and a lot of it is because of the evil of religious cults and is more correctly termed religious persecution.
But just because someone in China is disgusted by a foreigner when they first see them, drawing on national history of the diestruction and killing done by various groups of foreigners in China's history, is not racist, it is human nature.
If that person then treats that foreigner as a lesser human being, buys them as a slave or sells them as a slave, will not allow them to use the same toilet or ride on the same bus or eat in the same restaurant simply because that person is a foreigner of a different race...that, then, is racism; but if it is just being disgusted, that's not racism.
What was done to ethnic Chinese in America of a century or so ago when Chinese workers were bought as slaves to do work members of the white race were not prepared to or willing to do, that was racism.
The display of Chinese people in hollywood movies of just the last 50 years as all being laundry workers, Charlie Chan-types...that was and is racism.
But when Chinese people are disgusted with the actions of foreigners - white or puce - it is only disgust.
