China Radio International (CRI) was formerly called Radio Beijing rather than Beijing Radio.

播音员 is usually translated as "announcer."

Since Radio Beijing was a news service,  its editors were also journalists (journalists include both editors and reporters).

Revised: From 1960-1979 he worked at the Spanish service under the Latin American Division of Radio Beijing as a translator, announcer, editor, and reporter (writer), and later became deputy head of the division.

I guess Mr. Liu joined the China Radio and TV Society before his retirement but assumed the post of executive vice president in 1997. Anyway, let's keep it as it is.

"the society" and "the Society": inconsistency in capitalization.

Revised: After retiring from his office in 1997, he joined the China Radio and TV Society and served as its executive vice president till 2004. He is still a vice president of the society.
